Tally’s Cafe location on the corner of 11th and Yale is a staple for Thanksgiving. As Tally’s has held a tradition of being open on Thanksgiving for over 30 years. And the best part of this tradition, it’s a free traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Tally’s opens starting at 11 AM on Thanksgiving with a first come first serve opportunity for their free Thanksgiving dinner.

2. Cracker Barrel

Cracker Barrel is always open on Thanksgiving day with regular business hours. If you’re dining in-store they offer a special breakfast, Grandma’s Holiday Sampler which comes with country-fried turkey and buttermilk pancakes. If you’re in the mood for the more traditional Thanksgiving dinner they have that as well. You can choose from their Homestyle Turkey n’ Dressing or Country Fried Turkey plates. And if you’re just looking for a home-cooked meal without the work, you can also take a feast home for the family, they offer a Thanksgiving Heat n’ Serve option. The Feast option serves 8 to 10 people, and the Family Dinner option serves 4 to 6. And don’t forget a pie while you’re there.

3. Fleming’s Prime Steak House

Fleming’s Prime Steak House will be open on Thanksgiving for a traditional dinner and offering a slight tweak on the traditional option as well. Their hours start at 11 AM at the cost starts at $53 per guest. They feature a 3-course meal with your choice of herb-roasted turkey, filet mignon, or prime bone-in ribeye. It also comes with your choice of a salad or lobster bisque, and sharable sides for your table of mashed potatoes, cinnamon orange cranberry sauce, and green beans with apricots and onions. For dessert, you also have your choice of New York cheesecake and carrot cake. The children’s menu is much the same with the exception of the lobster bisque being changed out for cheese and crackers, and the ribeye being changed for mac and cheese.

If you’re also looking to take home a meal for the family you can pre-order their herb-roasted turkey breast with gravy which can be picked up between November 21st and 23rd.

Metro Diner will close at 2:30 PM on Thanksgiving Day.

5. Silver Skillet Family Diner

Silver Skillet will be open for Thanksgiving from 8 AM to 8 PM. They’re located at the corner of 61st and Memorial. They’ll be serving up a traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner, with two sides, a roll, and a delicious slice of pumpkin pie to top it all off.

6. Jane’s Delicatessen

Jane’s Delicatessen is located on 11th street just east of Peoria. They’ll be open Thanksgiving day offering your choice of turkey or ham with all the sides and it comes with a slice of pumpkin pie to finish it off. Jane’s does recommend reservations for their Thanksgiving feast. In addition to dining in, you can also bring home a feast for the family. You can pick from two kinds of turkey for your entre. 7. Ruth’s Chris Steak House

Ruth’s Chris Steak House is open for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, you have your choice of take-out options or dining in. If you’re dining in you have your pick of what you eat. The meal comes with oven-roasted turkey, stuffing, turkey gravy, and cranberry relish. Customization starts when you choose a starter of either a Caesar salad, steak house salad, or lobster bisque. You can pick a side with your options of garlic mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, sweet potato casserole, or green beans with garlic. Dessert is a slice of pumpkin cheesecake with vanilla ice cream. And to top it off, you get sent home with a lagniappe, a New Orleans tradition and a way of saying thank you. Take-Home

If you decide to take your Thanksgiving dinner home you can get a full meal for $175 to serve a family of 4. This comes with oven-roasted turkey breast, sausage and herb stuffing, turkey gravy, cranberry relish, pumpkin cheesecake, and your choice of salad and side. This meal can be picked up Wednesday between 12 PM and 4 PM. The meal is served cold with instructions for reheating.

You can also purchase individual sides to go with your feast or to top off what you’re making at home. Your sides start at $28, a medium serves 4 to 6, and a large side serves 12. The options for sides are creamed spinach, sweet potato casserole, au gratin potatoes, Caesar salad, steak house salad, green beans with garlic, and sausage and herb stuffing. You can pick up your sides from November 14th – 22nd between 4 PM and 6 PM, on November 23rd between 12 PM and 4 PM, and November 25th to December 23rd between 4 PM and 6 PM.
