Cherokee National Holiday
When: August 30th – September 1st, 2019
Where: Tahlequah, OK
What: The Cherokee National Holiday celebrates the signing of the 1839 Cherokee Constitution and the reunion of Cherokee from all over the country. Not only is this one of the largest festivals in Oklahoma, but it’s a great way to learn about culture and history.
Tulsa’s Great Raft Race
When: September 2nd, 2019
Where: River West Festival Park
What: Come watch as teams race their home-made rafts down the Arkansas River. Not only is there a race, but there’s also a competition for the best-dressed competitors. For the kids, enter the un-timed sail as locals enjoy the river.
Bluegrass & Chili Festival
When: September 6th – 7th, 2019
Where: Wagoner, OK
What: This festival is exactly what it sounds like: good music and good food. This event is built around the Mid-America Regional Chili Cook-Off, where you can sample test a range of different homemade chili. Along with the concerts, there’s also a car show, marketplace, vendors, and other festivities.
Woolaroc Fall Trail Ride
When: September 6th – 7th, 2019
Where: Woolaroc Museum & Wildlife Preserve
What: If you want to experience a time-hop to the days of the wild west, trailblazing, and pioneering, come ride the Woolaroc Fall Trail Ride. To take part, you must provide your horse in order to traverse miles of the preserve. You’ll spot bison, long-horns, zebras, and even ostriches! Meals are provided on-site.
Wizard World Tulsa 2019
When: September 6th – 8th, 2019
Where: Renaissance Hotel, Tulsa
What: Are you into pop-culture and comic books? If you are, then this is the event for you! Wizard World is a comic con where you can hear about the latest TV shows, movies, and comics. Come dressed as your favorite character and experience the fun!
Scotfest

What: Whoever thought there would be a Scottish festival in the middle of Oklahoma summer? If you’re into the Celtic heritage, the festival celebrates all things Celtic. Kilts, hammer throw, bagpipes; you name it, they got it.
