Tulsa State Fair

Where: Tulsa Expo Center
What: The Tulsa State Fair is a staple to the Autumn season in Green Country. Held at the Tulsa Expo Center, the Fair has something for everyone. If you’re a thrill-seeker, there are plenty of carnival rides to choose from. There are also concession booths, carnival games, and agriculture exhibits.
Pumpkin Festival @ Shepherd’s Cross
When: September 24th, November 9th, 2019
Where: Claremore, Oklahoma
What: Shepherd’s Cross, a farm in Claremore, is all about the Autumn experience. Running through the season, this months’ long festival offers pumpkin-picking, hay riding, scarecrow-making, animal-petting, and home decorating for the visitors. Now that’s one way to immerse yourself in Fall festivities!
BioBlitz
When: October 4th – 6th, 2019
Where: Sequoyah State Park & Lodge
What: Are you interested in science? Do you like to trek through the wilderness like a great outdoorsman? If so, then the BioBlitz may be for you! People who love science gather at the Sequoyah State Park to take part in a 24 hr biodiversity survey.
You will keep a record of the different species of plants and animals you see throughout the park. When all attendees come back together, they will compile their findings to make the survey. To register, click here.
Oklahoma Indian Summer Festival
When: October 4th – 5th, 2019
Where: Dewey, Oklahoma
What: The Oklahoma Indian Summer Festival is a celebration of the states Native American heritage as well as a culmination of all the many lifestyles, artists, and culture that has bloomed from our history. Come experience the powwows, dancing, entertainment, and art shows that happen during this festival of Native American culture.
Antique Agriculture Festival
Step back in-time to a pre-Civil War era where life was simple at the Hunter’s Home, a plantation near Talequah, OK. Come for the weekend to see people of the era presenting their crafts and services. Help harvest some apple butter and enjoy the entertainment as you enjoy life before the bustle of today’s world.

National Indian Taco Championship
When: October 5th, 2019
Where: Pawhuska, Oklahoma
What: While Pawhuska may be more commonly known as the land of the Pioneer Woman or the home of the Mercantile, it also happens to house the National Indian Taco Championship. Come enjoy a vast array of tacos as you listen to live music and watch Native American dancing.
Tulsa American Film Festival
When: October 9th – 13th, 2019
Where: Circle Cinema
What: The Tulsa American Film Festival celebrates the art of filmmaking, celebrating local pieces of work and movies that celebrate diversity. Held at the legendary Circle Cinema, you can sit in on a number of films and questionnaires to learn about what goes into making a movie.
Pelican Festival
When: October 10th – 13th, 2019
Where: Grove, Oklahoma
What: A parade, carnival rides, food vendors, a car show…migrating pelicans? In honor of the American White Pelicans returning to the waters of Grand Lake, this festival spreads its wings over 4 days of celebration. It’s a great way to not only celebrate the birds’ homecoming but also to get outside and enjoy the beautiful Oklahoma Autumn.
Brush Creek Bazaar
When: October 12th – 13th, 2019
Where: 10900 S Louisville, Tulsa
What: Held at the Barn of South Tulsa, this event celebrates all things local. Explore the local shopping vendors, listen to local musicians, all while supporting the local New Lifehouse Academy and the Brush Creek Academy. These academies are dedicated to helping youth, and the Brush Creek Bazaar donates all the proceeds to reaching these children.
Lake Eufaula Art Festival
When: October 12th, 2019
Where: Eufala, Oklahoma
What: Come explore downtown Eufala and look over the waters of the lake as you partake in all the town has to offer. The art festival celebrates local and regional artists, offering many vendors to browse through and booths to enjoy. While you’re at it, try some of Eufala’s restaurants and shops!
US National Arabian & Half-Arabian Championship Horse Show
When: October 18th – 26th, 2019
Where: Tulsa Expo Center
What: You’ve probably seen these majestic in horses; their arched necks, dished faces, and flowing tail billowing in the wind as the prance across the earth. Well, Tulsa takes time to celebrate this horse breed by hosting the National Arabian Championship Horse Show. This week-long event is great for those who are passionate about horses and enjoy watching the competition.
Tulsa Run
When: October 26th, 2019
Where: Downtown Tulsa
What: One of the most popular races in Tulsa, the Tulsa Run sees over 8,000 runners a year to run through the city. Runners have the option of entering a 15K, 5K, or 2K to show off their speed. Spectators can enjoy live music and vendors while they watch the competitors make their way through the streets.
