Cinco de Mayo Fest at River West Festival Park

When: May 1, 2020 – May 3, 2020

Where: River West Festival Park, Tulsa

What: Come out to River West Festival Park for an entire weekend filled with Cinco de Mayo fun! This event is family friendly,  and runs from Friday afternoon through Sunday night. There will be amazing Mexican food, live music, and a 5k. The kids can enjoy carnival rides, arts and crafts, and more!



When: May 1, 2020 – May 3, 2020

Where: 1429 Terrace Drive, Tulsa

What: Are you interested in German culture, or showing it to your children? Downtown Tulsa’s Germanfest is an event filled with polka music, folk dancers, and German cuisine. There will also be designated kids activities, and the crowning of the May Queen.


Mirror Mirror Gala

When: May 1, 2020

Where: Doubletree Hotel at Warren Place, Tulsa

What: This unforgettable event in Tulsa is sports themed this year, so come out in your favorite sports jersey! Enjoy a wonderful time with food, live music and an auction. The proceeds will go to after-school and summer enrichment programs for Tulsa youth. What a great way to support our future!


Tulsa Area Iris Show

When: May 2, 2020 – May 3, 2020

Where: Tulsa Garden Center, Tulsa

What: The Tulsa Area Iris Show is a time to show off the beauty of irises in an amazing variety of colors. Members of the Tulsa Area Iris Society will be on site to help visitors with tips and ideas for growing breathtaking irises at their home. Many iris plants will be available for purchase during the weekend long event.


Third Annual Brews for Rescues

When: May 6, 2020

Where: Dead Armadillo Craft Brewing

What: The Brews for Rescues event is an amazing benefit for the Animal Rescue Foundation Tulsa. The cost of the ticket is $40 and includes 2 pints of craft beer, a souvenir Dead Armadillo pint glass, and food. There will be live music by Gear Dogz, and a silent auction to enjoy. Adoptable dogs will be available onsite!


Tulsa Festival of Kites

When: May 8, 2020 – May 9, 2020

Where: Tulsa Wind Riders, Tulsa

What: No matter what your age is, the sight of a colorful kite flying in the air is so pretty! The Tulsa Festival of Kites is an event hosted by the Tulsa Wind Riders, to share their love and knowledge of kites. Come out, and learn new skills and tricks. You can bring your own kite or purchase a new one there!


Second Saturday Architecture Tour

When: May 9, 2020

Where: 115 W. 5th Street, Tulsa

What: If you are amazed by architecture, you will enjoy attending the Second Saturday Architecture Tour! This is a walking tour filled with educational opportunities, and is hosted by the Tulsa Foundation for Architecture. The tour lasts about an hour and a half, and features some of the greatest architecture in downtown Tulsa. You are guaranteed to learn something new!


Mother’s Day Brunch at Tulsa’s Designer Showcase

When: May 10, 2020

Where: 3442 S. Atlanta Place, Tulsa

What: If you are looking for a special way to celebrate a mom, treat her to brunch at the Mother’s Day Brunch at Tulsa’s Designer Showcase! Brunch will begin at 11 AM, and will consist of delicious food and a beautiful tour of the mansion to see the designed rooms. This event will donate all proceeds to the Foundation for Tulsa Schools.


Tulsa 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament

When: May 15, 2020 – May 17, 2020

Where: Gathering Place, Tulsa

What: Come out to the Gathering Place, and enjoy watching 3 action packed days of basketball! There will be teams in a variety of age groups competing to win, as well as a fun slam dunk contest. Cash prizes will be on the line in several categories. Make sure not to miss out on the fun family activities and live entertainment!


Tulsa Symphony Presents: Peace, Love & Arlo

When: May 15, 2020

Where: Tulsa Performing Arts Center, Tulsa

What: The great American Folk artist Arlo Guthrie will be performing an unforgettable concert along with the Tulsa Symphony, and this is for one night only! Mr. Guthrie, who is well known as a social activist and his ability to tell powerful stories through music, will be singing both original material and classic cover material. You are certain to enjoy this 1960’s icon and the beautiful music they share!


Tulsa Garden Club’s Standard Flower Show

When: May 16, 2020

Where: Tulsa Garden Center, Tulsa

What: Tulsa Garden Club’s Standard Flower Show is a beautiful event to attend. The theme for this year is, “Destination Paradise,” and it will have amazing floral designs, educational displays, different horticultural specimens, and unforgettable botanical artwork. This is a wonderful opportunity to see how plant material can be used in amazing creative experiments. This is a free event that is wonderful chance to celebrate the warmer weather!


Cop Land Classic Bike Ride

When: May 16, 2020

Where: 6066 E. 66 Street North, Tulsa

What: The Cop Land Classic Bike Ride is such a special way to honor fallen officers in Tulsa. No matter what your riding skill level, you can choose between five Cop Land Classic bike ride routes. You can choose to ride the “67 to Life”, “Escape Route 57”, “Deferred Sentence 44”, “The Felony 31” and “Misdemeanor 15.” Feel free to choose whichever one fits you best! If you don’t have a desire to ride a bike but still want to show your support, you can purchase the Cop Land Classic Bike Ride shirt.


Intro to Sourdough Bread Magic

Where: Mother Road Market

What: Have you ever wanted to learn to make sourdough bread from home? The Intro to Sourdough Bread Magic is an amazing class to learn exactly how to make it! This class, which lasts around 5 hours, will be filled with learning how to hand mix your dough, maintain a sourdough starter, shape your loaf, and properly bake. You will get your very own starter, your freshly baked loaf of sourdough bread, a proofing basket, and a loaf to bake at home. A light lunch will be provided!


Tulsa Ballet Presents: Vendetta

When: May 21, 2020 – May 24, 2020

Where: Tulsa Performing Arts Center – Tulsa, Oklahoma

What: Tulsa Ballet’s performance of Vendetta is a combination of drama and modern dance that will leave you breathless. This ballet, which is choreographed by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, tells a beautiful story using ideas from film, broadway, and ballet. This show runs four times, and is one you don’t want to miss!


Route 66 PatriotFest

What: If you want to be a part of showing the world just how patriotic Tulsa truly is, come out to Route 66 PatriotFest. This event lasts all day, and features a car and motorcycle show, fun craft vendors to browse, and a variety of food trucks. You can bring the whole family out to this fun event, and enjoy seeing fun hotrods and listening to live music.


R.K. Gun & Knife Show

When: May 23, 2020 – May 24, 2020

Where: Tulsa Expo Square, Tulsa

What: For more than 20 years, RK Shows have been known for their high quality gun and knife shows. This great reputation has helped them to grow in popularity. The RK Gun & Knife Show features antique, collectible, vintage and modern firearms. Come feel free to browse the many options, and possibly find a good deal!


John Hope Franklin National Symposium

When: May 27, 2020 – May 30, 2020

Where: 100 E. 2nd Street, Tulsa

What: The John Hope Franklin National Symposium is a beautiful chance to learn about the role arts and culture can have in healing racial divides in the America. There will be artists, students, scholars, and policymakers leading talks  to educate and facilitate productive conversations about equality, racial justice and social harmony. Be sure to come to the Greenwood Reconciliation Walk on May 28.


Quilt Tulsa 2020

When: May 29, 2020 – May 3o, 2020

Where: Tulsa Expo Square, Tulsa

What: Quilt Tulsa 2020 is a great opportunity to see how beautiful and complex quilts truly are. As Oklahoma’s largest judged quilt show, you have the opportunity to see over 300 unique and quilts that were made with various designs and techniques. You can also bring your own quilt to Central Park Hall at the Tulsa Expo Square to have it appraised by a professional quilt appraiser or participate in the small quilt auction, held both Friday and Saturday.


Spring Home & Outdoor Living Expo

When: May 29, 2020 – May 31, 2020

Where: Tulsa Expo Square, Tulsa

What: Come out to the Spring Home & Outdoor Expo, if you are in the market for some good deals! The Tulsa Expo Square will be hosting multiple vendors offering amazing deals on outdoor furniture, home appliances and more! There will be quite a few resources available for DIY projects.
